As I go off to celebrate the U.S. holiday, Thanksgiving, I reflect…

I would like to give thanks to the good folks at Adobe who have worked hard to give us excellent software. Even with little competition, they continue to engineer new and exciting features in their products.

I give thanks to the InDesign community of designers and graphic production managers who keep pushing for even better features in InDesign and other products.

I am happy that I have gotten to travel all around the world for Mogo Media for the InDesign, Creative Suite, Vector, and Pixel conferences where I have met attendees with a myriad of problems and challenges.

I give thanks to Creative Pro and InDesign Magazine for letting me write on the topics that interest me.

I am grateful for David and Anne Marie for giving me free reign here at InDesign Secrets. May this web site and their podcast continue to be an independent voice for all things InDesign.

Happy Thanksgiving to the US readers. And may everyone around the world take the goodness and gratitude of this holiday into their own lives.

Sandee Cohen is a New York City-based instructor and corporate trainer in a wide variety of graphic programs, especially the Adobe products, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. I’m in Norway and we don’t have Thanksgiving here (although I have twice celebrated it in the US with friends). But yes, I’d like to give thanks to David and Anne-Marie for their terrific and tireless work in spreading the gospel of InDesign! I’d also like to thank all the unsung engineering heroes at Adobe, who created this software marvel. ID is my favorite app of all the CS3 apps, even above PS, and I am grateful to the vision of Adobe’s management, when they back in the late 90s started what was then the seemingly impossible task of competing with QuarkXPress. But Adobe persevered with ID for some rough years, and for that perseverance we should indeed be grateful.

A big thanks to all at InDesign Secrets. This is by far the best resource on the internet about InDesign. Thanks.

  • Thank you Sandee, and everyone else. It’s wonderful to be part of such a vibrant and fun community! I totally agree with you, Sandee and Klaus, that many thanks are due to the great folks on the InDesign team.
