Try clicking on them again and you let them free! The only thing that “kills” these digital beauties is the alien… what, you haven’t seen the alien yet?
So a more appropriate interpretation here is: You have the opportunity in this “game” to save the butterflies’ lives, but only if you temporarily and gently hold them (with a stake) in the proper place on screen so that the alien doesn’t get them.
I agree that there is a tinge of xenophobia here, but I think it’s warranted in this case. I mean… some aliens are worth fearing… especially the ones that seem the most friendly but can only be stopped by Slim Whitman. But I digress…

I didn’t see the alien as killing the butterflies.
I saw him/her as knocking the butterflies off the pins and while they seemed to fall, they were actually freed to then fly around.
The alien is the butterflies’ savior.

Very Interesting, but as for me, I prefer to use in my every day work, Photoshop shapes. For example here ? Butterfly shape set ? I found very good shape set of stylized butterfly.
