Looking for a different way to present images besides the usual rectangular or elliptical frames? You can use a compound path as an image frame too. To make a compound path, select more than one path,

and choose Object > Paths > Make Compound Path.

Then just place your image into the compound path just as you would a regular path.

    Hi Mike,

Thats very clever. Is there a way to convert the compound image back to individual images? Or, is there another tip for placing an image into frames and have that image chopped up.

    Very nice tip.

    Thanks.

  • Hey Mike! Tks for the tip!

I don’t know why, but its not working here :( ! After I placed an image into the compound path, it didn’t fit into the path. It just appeared in a retangle frame inside the path. Would you help me?

    Tks!
