Greetings all…
I want to auto flow the text in a text frame that might run to multiple pages. It can be done by SHIFT-clicking the loaded cursor on the page, in InDesign. But, that would create text frames with full page area in the new pages. I do not want the text frames created with full page area. The text frames must be of specific height and width only and it must be created only at particular location on the pages. How to attain this?
Put the text frames on the master page.

Thanks David… That worked.
I have the same problem; but I am already using master pages. My standard text page is wh -.5″margins. In the remaining space there are 2 .5″ x 5.75 frames 1 top, 1 bottom. The remainder ia text frame. I also use in-sets on all text frames.
Using words flow I place my curser in the upper left of the text frame using the shift flow method. Text continues on to the end; buton subsequent pages it pushes out to the margins “running roughshod” over master page text boxes.
What am I missing here?.
thanks Dave,
