      Hi all,
      Is there anything in InDesign which resembles the macro of excel? That is to record all the actions of InDesign? This would be a great help in writing scripts…

      There is this:

      Action Recorder for InDesign

      I’m not sure but I do believe that it is no longer supported

      Radhakrishnan , any experiences you care to share about using the action recorder ? I’ve been thinking about using it, but at the moment don’t have a lot of time to spare in experiments.

      Bart, if you click on the link in Mikes post, you will find the following message: “This product is not supported any more, and won’t be updated or bug-fixed. It is still available for download on an ‘as-is’ basis.”

      So it is up to you, if you want to try it.

      I just can’t believe InDesign still has no action recorder! I personally think it would be more valuable than in Photoshop. Since Rorohiko doesn’t work for CC, does anyone know of anything else available?
