Is anyone else having this problem?
I’ve just upgraded my wife’s iMac to El Capitan (10.11.6). She uses Indesign CS6, and has many legacy files which are mood boards of images. To link to her images she used this technique:
https://creativepro.com/using-the-mac-os-media-browser-in-indesign.php
Since the upgrade she’s finding most of the image links in her documents are broken.
The Links palette says a broken image link will look something like:
MacHD:Users:Username:Pictures:iPhoto Library:Masters:2008:Roll 172:filename.tif
When we try to re-link the image, all the images are still there in the correct place, but a relinked image now shows the path:
MacHD:Users:Username:Pictures:iPhoto Library.migratedphotolibrary:Masters:2008:Roll 172:filename.tif
Apple has helpfully messed with the folder name – hence broken links.
Does anyone know a quick way to get Indesign to remap the links – currently each document is containing about 60 images, and we’re having to relink each one individually.
Many thanks
Keith
