Hi, i made an indesign template for a client. As part of that, there is a paragraph style that uses the old trick to have dotted paragraph rules lowerd behind a headline, with the gap filled with the same colour, creating the illusion of a rounded backplate.

Now they have gotten this super weird problem: the ends are twisted. But is seems to go deeper than that: look att the ends of the dots in the drop down: they are twisted too, I have never seen anything like it. the teqniqe described above does not even use the start/end of stroke function at all, so I think that part is just a coincindence. She can add like arows to the ends and they look fine. When she selects “none” again, its back to the twisted dots.

The clients indesign is in Swedish. The client is on the latest 2018 CC, on a PC. They tried to uninstall and reinstall, same issue. In any document.

      Any ideas?

After some more digging I found a similar question over on Adobes forums. A workaround is to create your own dotted stroke style and turn of Adjust Corners. Other then that I guess I just wait for an update that hopefully fixes it. Resetting preferences didn’t affect it.
