I have a document that is merging in lists of varying lengths. The the box will extend down to fit the contents.
I have another box below it, and I need that content centered vertically between the bottom of the page and the end of the top lists. whats the best way to accomplish this without having to move each one after the data merge?
I have a feeling it will have somthing to do with tables, but I cant quite figure out a way…
Tricky! I like your idea of a table. If you had a table with 1 column and 2 rows, then the top row/cell would expand with the data. You could set the vertical alignment of the bottom cell to Center.
Thanks David– That’s what I have now. However, the bottom edge of the bottom cell moves when the top cell changes sizes. Is there a way I can anchor the bottom of the bottom cell to the bottom of the page (or text box)?
Hm. Good point. I should have tried it before typing.
I’ve played with a few ideas, but nothing works. Great puzzle! But my intuition is that there is no good way to do this without a script or plug-in.
If anyone can prove me wrong, I’d love to see how they do it! :-)
