When i plase an image in an indesign image box and crop it to keep only a part of the image visible, and export it to pdf, everything that is outside the image box is still in the pdf.

I have Cutcontourkiss paths in the placed image that now cut through other images that are near the one in the image box. ,but are outside the image box, so not visible in the pdf, only in illustrator in line mode.

Does anyone know how to make indesign delete everything of the placed image, that is outside the imagebox

I’m not sure I understand your problem correctly, but as far as I can tell, this is what I would do: in your illustrator file, place your cut contour paths in a separate layer. Then on InDesign, right click on your placed image and select “Object Layer Options” and turn off the cut contour layer.

In the PDF export dialogue (in german it is under »Komprimierung«, I think it is compression in english) you have the option to crop the images so in the PDF is only that part of the frame which is inside the image box.
