Dialog Box problem

  Hello everyone,
  
  I am having a problem with the dialog boxes in InDesign CC 2014 (v 9.0). There is a glitch of some sort which is cutting and cropping the text in the dialog boxes, sometimes even replacing the text with “…” (dots).
  
  I am using an iMac 2007 with OS X El Capitan (computer is old and won’t let me update to High Sierra). This has only started to happen AFTER I updated to El Capitan.
  
  I’ve tried rebuilding my Preferences and this did not solve the problem either.

  Does anyone have any idea on a way to possibly fix this please?

  Looks like a font issue causing it. Not sure how to fix it.
