Learn / Forums / General InDesign Topics / Effective PPI as ### X ###
Hello,
At times i have noticed in the links panel that instead of displaying Actual PPI: 300 and Efffective PPI: 300 or depending on size.
Sometimes however the Effective PPI is displayed as 185×186 or other # x #
What has happened is there a difference? appreciate a light on this
Thank you
Niklas
If you scale an image, it changes the resolution. If an image is scaled disproportionally (such as 98% horizontal and 101% vertical) then you’ll get different effective PPI resolutions.
I get it, the user has not resized it proportionally thus the ### x ###?
Thank you David.
Niklas
