Hi,
I have a bit of a weird question…
Is there any way to have an object fixed on a page/spread, but in reference to the page number in the document? So that for example the object is always on every 8th page of the document, even if I move/reorder pages?
I’ll try to explain: I am designing a book, some kind of art catalogue, that will be stitched. It is picture-heavy, and have often images or big typographic elements that spreads on two pages, so I made a layer with fake stitches every 8 pages to simulate where I should avoid to use this kind of layout.
But, in the process of designing and ordering the whole thing, I tend to move pages around, reorder, etc. and so very logically my stitches layer moves around too. And more often that not, I forget to put the stitches back where they belong, and it is pain to calculate the correct gap again and again to make sure they are right.
I don’t think so, but is there a possibility to lock things on a “flatplan” level, where a specific element would be fixed on a specific page, independently of the rest of the pages content?
Or I was thinking some kind of script that puts/creates a layer with the stitches on the correct pages every time I run it…
I hope I make sense despite my struggle to explain it in English… thanks in advance for your input.
