Good day, First post so bear with me.
I have an InDesign CC 2017 that a company designed for us with style sheets include. It is a three fold (panels) 11×17 layout with front and back. I’m looking to Publish Online this document every week and would like to convert the layout, without losing all of the styles and grid lines to a 6 page document with each fold (panel) – front and back – becoming a single page. I have searched several forums and have had no luck in determining how to do this. It seems that it can be done some how within the Master Page layout.
Does anyone have any references at to how I may be able to do this.
Thank you in advance.
I think there are two methods: the pages panel or the document-in-document method… I don’t have time to write them all out clearly at the moment, but I’ll explain in a blog post soon.
Here’s the quick steps for the first method:
1. Make a new master page which is a multi-page spread (like 3-page spread)
2. Make sure Allow Spread to Shuffle and Allow Doc to Shuffle are turned off
3. Add a couple of extra blank pages to your document
4. Turn your document page into a 3 page spread
5. Apply the master page to the three spreads.
It’s crazy, but it seems to work. Like I said, I’ll write it up with screen shots soon.
I wrote this up here:
