I’m working on a large book (1200 pages) that has a ton of different types of tables. In addition to the book, I also need to create three separate documents that have all the figures and each of two different types of tables. The tables all contain lots of hyperlinks.
I’ve copy/pasted the tables into the new document but when I go to work on hyperlinks (checking status and assigning the correct character style), the first time I open the hyperlinks panel, it takes almost 10 minutes for it to open and for all the links to be processed. Then, each time I work with a link or shift back to the character panel, it is taking 20 to 45 seconds for each link/action (I use Windows – I get the spinning wheel).
No doubt it’s some setting in preferences though I’ve looked through them all and don’t see anything that seems to apply. I’m using ID CC2015.
Thanks for any help.
Jim
In the Hyperlinks panel flyout menu you can turn off Auto Update URL Status. (Not sure which version of ID CC they added that feature in.)
I knew it had to be something fairly simple but, of course, even though I opened that panel, I didn’t notice that feature. Thanks David!
