      Hi all

I’m creating a reflowable ePub in InDesign CC 2015 11.4.1.102 build. There are a few places where text is hyperlinked to text in other chapters. Each chapter is a series of linked frames and each is an article in the articles panel. When I export, the hyperlinked text is in an a tag but the destination is an empty href.

Here’s the code that’s generated (NOTE:using actual tags was screwing up the post so I’ve used brackets and spelled out tag names. I couldn’t find info on the proper way to quote code, my apologies.)

      p class=”body”This is placeholder text and here’s the hyperlink [opening a tag href=””] span class=”TextHighlight _idGenCharOverride-1″click here/span [closing /a tag].

Any idea why this is happening? Is there a solution that can be done in InD or do I need to code these manually?

      Any help is greatly appreciated!
      Karen

Cross-references, text-based hyperlinks, and indexes doesn’t export properly in Indesign cc 2015 . Probably in the latest release we might find fix to this bug.

Only objects with external hyperlinks works fine when exported.

Leon, is there the same bug in CC 2014? My text anchor hyperlinks worked at first, but somewhere along the road, they got broken. Not just in the exported EPUB, but in the ID files. Some of the anchors were moved to other places, and some are just missing. In the ID Hyperlinks panel, when I “Click to go to destination,” some of them still go to the right place, but the href is the EPUB is blank. Only two of 29 still work properly. I don’t see a rhyme or reason to the brokenness or a way to fix it that won’t break again. Thanks for any help.
