      Hi there,

Found some threads in here definitely advocating users working directly off a NAS -type server. I saw mentions of DropBox business or Google Drive. Could you please advise on a fitting solution based on our specific configuration/needs?: from master InDesign files in English, we need to produce versions in 7 other European languages.
Workflow members: One designer (InDesign CS6 user – that would be me) + 7 remote translators/editors (InCopy CS6 users) all in different countries. Everyone’s working on PCs (shame, but that’s the way it is – at least there’s no cross-platform issue involved ;) ).

If someone could advise in particular on the following that would be much appreciated:
      – server space required (most documents are A4 brochures or booklets under 12 pages total. We already use a sharing storage FTP server where all completed documents would be stored. The server needed would be for production mainly).
      – If cloud workflow disables check-in/check-out capabilities, how to go around it and avoid conflicts?

      Many thanks in advance!

Dropbox does support check-in/check-out of InCopy stories from the layout, as long as you also keep the layout in the Dropbox project folder.

Since it’s not necessary for the designer to keep high-res images in Dropbox, space demands are not too great.

The main thing you’ll want to prep is ensuring that editors have the fonts you’re using in InDesign, if that’s possible.
