When InDesign CC 2015 freezes — it occurs a few times every day — it takes Acrobat Pro CD with it, and vice-versa; it happens mostly after copying some text, moving a text or object frame, or scrolling inside either apps. CleanMyMac indicates that CEPHtml Engine Helper is causing the problem. So, I tracked down the app (in the Contents folder of ID), trashed it and restarted InDesign, but the Helper seems automatically recreated each time ID is opened.
Does anybody know whether the Helper is an important part of the app and shouldn’t be removed? If it’s not, how do I make it “stay” removed? Has anybody come across a solution for this random duo crash? It happens on both my machines (iMac and MacPro) under Yosemite, but was also happening under Mavericks with previous versions of the apps.
Hi Linda. This issue is driving me nuts as well. Did you ever resolve it on your end?
