i just updated to the latest indesign CC 2015 and I had also to replace some .DLL files to make it start.
Now it is very slow and I cannot work. My pc has 16 GB ram and 18 GB free disk space. i cannot figure out Adobe keeps doing this failing updates. It just a pain in the neck. I worked fine before the update. -

It may not be helpful, but still useful to know that for most CC 2015 users, there is no speed lag. So it’s something on your system.
I assume you’ve tried rebuilding your prefs.
Try this:
1. In Prefs > General, disable “Show “Start” workspace” and “Show Recent Files Workspace”
2. In Prefs > Type, set the Number of Recent Fonts to Display to 0
3. In Prefs > File Handling, set Number of Recent Files to Display to 0, and disable Check Links Before Opening DocumentRestart InDesign and see if that helped. They all have to do with InDesign searching for things that it’s having trouble finding. All suggestions came from users on various threads where they said they had the same issue and one or more of these fixes worked.
One more possible operation that helped some folks with general slowdowns:

thank you for the repley but id didn’t help. I disinstalled it again and tried to launch it but it says ADOBE INDESIGN CC HAS STOPPED WORKING. I have no idea why it doesn’t start. I tried the solutions i found in some blog but with no results. I also replaced the .DLL files and it launched but it blocked every time.
WHY ADOBE DO THESE UPDATED WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY TO COME BACK TO THE PREVIOUS ONE??? DOES ADOBE GIVE ANY SUPPORT?? Where can i find it?Thank you!

Lorenzo I’m sorry it’s not working.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the program is seldom a fix, not sure why you did that. That operation usually does not rebuild preferences, which is actually much easier and faster.
https://creativepro.com/rebuilding-indesign-preferences.phpDid you try seeing if InDesign will run if you log into a test account on your Mac or Windows?

The El Capitan update fixed my issues. Don’t know if it was software related on my end of the compatibility between yosemite and adobe…
It works again and I am happy. Check your RAM. Sometime insufficient memory is the main issue behind slow indesign -
