I was wondering if there's a way to increase or decrease the size of a font by 1 point increments instead of 2 points at a time when using the Command+Shift+> or < keys. I don't like how it always increases or decreases by 2 points all the time when most of the time I only need to increase or decrease it by 1 point.

I have an older InDesign file that allows me to make font size changes in 1 point increments, but I don't know how it was changed to that. Anyone have an answer?

With no documents open; Edit > Preferences > Units & Increments > Keyboard Increments > Size/Leading:

This is a document-level preference and will only take effect in documents created after you set it in this way. Documents created before the change will retain the setting that was in place when they were created. For those, you'll have to change the increment with the document open, and it will use the new setting from then on. Note that you can even make it a half-point if you wish, (0.5 pt). Personally, I like all the increment settings to be significantly smaller than their respective defaults.

Thanks a lot! You rock! You don't know how much this was bothering me. I guess I could have figured this out for myself if I had just taken the time to look through all the preference settings. Thanks again.

If you add the Option key (Alt on Windows) to the Command-Shift-</> (Control-Shift-</> on Windows), you will change the type size 5 times the preference setting.
