  I want to transform a jats xml into a epub. Any people that have experience to do that? I am using adobe cc 2018. Another option would be to used the indesign file, although I figured out that would require a very different way of working then we do now. Since my first priority would be existing file I think it would be better to use the XML approach. In these files there are a lot of foot notes and images.

  Sorry, I’ve never heard of JATS XML. This forum is really focused on how to use InDesign to create EPUB.

  I haven’t used the Oxygen XML Editor for a long time but it supports JATS and ‘includes built-in transformation scenarios that allow you to transform JATS documents to a variety of outputs, such as PDF, HTML, and EPUB.’

  I know more than you will ever want to know about JATS xml. The EPUB output would depend a lot on what the specific JATS tagging is. Using InDesign as an intermediary to achieve the EPUB from JATS is not all that helpful unless you are making the print pub layout with the JATS XMl also. Do diligent research on the JATSKit which includes an EPUB output feature.
