Hello,
It would come in handy at times if there were a way to use the layer’s name as a text variable. I change the layer’s name, the content of the layer changes accordingly… Mmmmm… Hopeless hope?
Thank you!
Pataka
Pataka,
I hope this is not a hopeless hope, as I’ve just posted a similar request.
Of course, your post is nearly 7 years old, so I’m hoping that my hope isn’t a hopeless hope. :-)
If you found a solution would you be kind and share?

Brett, I see that you also posted this request on a new forum post here: https://indesignsecrets.com/topic/wanted-layer-names-as-variable-text
(No problem; I just wanted to point it out, in case someone in the future finds this thread or that one.) :-)
