      Hi,

I would like to create a spare part catalogue.
I wonder if there is a solution / plug-in to create a link from the graphic to a table.

      1. place an graphic (vector format) in indesign
      2. have spots at the graphic that can be used to link to a table etc.
      3. link spots to the table.
      4. export to PDF.
      5. Items in the graphic can be clicked and a row in the table shows information of that part.

Did somebody set this up before ?

Gladly would know how to setup.

      Regards,
      Marchel

      Hi Loic,

I have not an direct example, but i can give you a general example.

Of course the layout would be more moderen, but as you can see, a graphic and list below.
The table will be in indesign, the graphic from illustrator.

It is possible to create squares and put over the graphic within indesign and link the squares to the rows.
But i would like to have hotspots (item numbers) at the illustrator file and indesign can use these hotspots to link to the table.

      Regards,
      Marchel

(Thank you “https://de.slideshare.net/smallengineparts/poulan-pro-illustrated-parts-list” for this graphic.)

      Thanks Loic.
      I didn’t know it either.
There is a way to do make things work, but would be with a lot of manual work.

Maybe somebody at the forum knows a way to do it

      Regards,
      Marchel
