I am producing overset text in a cell once I get to a certain width of characters generated by cross referenences within the cell. See the following for explanation.

I have a 380 page catalog with a few thousand part numbers and descriptions along with a few hundred images. I have a table based index at the beginning of each section with descriptions left aligned in col 1, and page numbers right aligned in col 2 of each table. The page numbers are generated with cross references to titles of different part number groups in the catalog. Column 2 is 1.3125″ wide but when I have to generate four or five cross referenced page numbers into the cell and fill up the cell to within 0.25″ of my left cell edge I get overset text. It is acting like I have a 0.25″ margin next to my cross references.

I have checked cell, table, character, and paragraph styles and all are set with minimal parameters and none to affect the left edge of text or cells. I have checked the formatting of the style I used for the cross references. Same story. I have even changed from right align to left align in the cell but get the same thing from the other side. 0.25″

I have already went down the list of culprits from the InDesign Secrets posts about the 5 reasons for possible overset text. Does anyone have any suggestion of something else I can check?

      Thanks
