I’ve scoured the entire internet with no luck. I’m hoping you folks can help me out.
I have a Paragraph Style for up and down arrows to be used in a table (to reflect positive and negative change). The main color is black, but I have a GREP style that defines it if is an up arrow, apply Character Style ‘Green’. If it is a down arrow, apply Character Style ‘Red’.The GREP works fine, but for one of my team members, when copying the table and pasting into Photoshop, the arrows are black. Even though they appear correctly in InDesign. I’ve checked all his settings, and everything appears to match what I have (in both Photoshop and InDesign). But I must be missing SOMETHING. Nobody else on our team of 10 people has this issue. Only this one person.
And it’s not a color profile issue in Photoshop. Other color elements in the table show up fine (blue alternating row fills).
If he manually applies the colors to each arrow, then it works. So it has to do with the GREP style, or Photoshop not understanding the GREP style. I’m completely baffled. Any ideas? Any help is much appreciated. Many thanks!

One possibility: Open the Preferences dialog box and choose Clipboard Handling. Is “Copy PDF To Clipboard” selected? (It probably should be.)

Yup, it is indeed selected.

More info:
If I take my cursor and select one of the arrows, it shows as black selected in the Swatches panel (even if it isn’t due to the GREP style). But if I highlight it again, it shows the correct color selected in the swatches panel. Wondering if this has something to do with it, but don’t know how or why.

Are you using char and para styles in Photoshop?

No, just in InDesign

You can disregard this now. We didn’t solve the problem but we changed our process and it’s no longer relevant. Thanks!
