I am having some problems with this multi-page document and I was hoping to get some clarity and answers from the group.
I need page spreads without the single right side starter page. I have used the trick of renaming it “page 2” but that effects the page numbers. I have tried selecting all of the other pages, clicking off “allow selected spread to shuffle” then delating page 1… only to have the pages go completely wrong – moving pages around will create 3 page spreads, or throw both pages off to the right or left… I’d like to know the following:
1. How can you make an existing multi-page document NOT begin with a single right hand page?
2. Why does the document make 3 page spreads or 2 pages on the left or right hand side when moving pages around and how do I prevent that from happening?
-New Document
-Number of Pages: 6
-Start Page #: 2
-Check Facing pages
-Pages->Uncheck Allow Document Pages to Shuffle
-Right Click on Page 2, Number and Section Options, Start Page Numbering at 1
That worked for me. This question comes up a bit. In printing, the odd pages are always on the right side. (Front cover, inside front cover, page 1, etc.) What is your reason for wanting it this way? For final imposition?
