Can anyone tell me what these random guides are on the page?
I can’t find where they’re coming from or how to delete them.
Thanks
P.s. the link above is a download link to the InDesign file
That is a seriously weird mystery. I don’t think I’ve seen that before, and I cannot identify why those guides are there.
Does it happen to all documents you create? Did you do something to this document to make it look like that? Is it just this one document?
I was able to fix it with some simple editing in the IDML file. Somehow the layer reference for where the guides were located got munged up. They were located in a non-existent layer. There was a great Twilight episode where the same thing happened … guy found himself in a non-existent location. ;-)
I assume this is just one file that was damaged somehow. As David asks, has it happened for other files?
AM
Yes it was just that file. I didn’t create it so I had no history of what has gone on before but it sounds like it was some sort of glitch.
Thanks for you help
Wow! That’s fascinating. Good sleuthing, Anne-Marie!
