Was anyone else as perplexed as I was about Adobe’s InDesign survey that was in today’s e-mail? I started to fill it out, then abandoned it because it seemed to reduce designers and production professionals to tools for InDesign to use — rather than the other way around — to “create and share content” with Print Service Providers (PSPs), as Adobe defines them.
I agree that there are some confusing questions and several that I wanted to reply “well, it depends.” But I’m not sure what you mean by reducing users to the tools? Can you explain?
It was the question “How could content creation software (such as Adobe InDesign) help with the process of preparing content to be shared with an PSP?” Sorry, but I read this as InDesign being the content creator, rather than a designer or production person. Maybe not enough coffee yet . . . never fond of the word “content” . . . it feels so impersonal.
