We need to contract a developer to help us create a custom InDesign script using Javascript to automate a workflow.
A sample command list may look as follows…
– map tags to indesign frame elements by style (to distinguish title,subtitle, article elements)
– perform a grep procedure in the copy to pre-format the text
– export elements into HTML (one InDesign file will create multiple HTML docs based on the tag procedure)
– perform a bash / awk script to on the exported HTML file to preformat it for our HTML templatesIf this sounds like something in your wheelhouse, contact me and I’d love to talk through it some more and work something out.
