Hello! I am following a formation… taking advantage of this confined period!
It is said that Indesign can be opened without any document, which allows us to set different settings (like character, paragraph, colours) that will then be applied by default to each new document.
I understood all that, except that I don’t manage to open Indesign and be on the classic page with no document open… Thus if I make my settings, they are applied to this document, and when I open a new one, everything must be done again.

How can I set these things or open the Indesign without any page in the middle?

      Thanks!
      Emilie

      Try this:
      – Open Indesign.
      – Close the document that opens. Or open a document and then click the red dot to close it.
      – If the Indesign home box opens (“let’s design something great” at top), click the red dot to close it.
      – You should have access to anything that’s changeable in the top menu bar.

Technically, I believe, you can do the same thing without closing the Indesign home box. I just close it to clear the clutter on my screen.

      Hope that helps!

Awesome! Indeed, I managed to have the full view in clicking on the Indesign logo, so I can make my changes now!
      Thanks a lot!
