Hello everyone!
I’ve been working on this document that’s on two columns and has about 90 footnotes spanned across them with the new CC 2017 footnote option. Regardless of what I did (redid prefs, reinstalled, idml files, every troubleshooting technique I know…), InDesign still moves very slow, to the point that’s taking at least a couple of seconds to do pretty much any edit on the paragraph or move a graphic.
When I turned off the spanning footnotes option, everything seems to run much smoother, albeit with a very small delay because, I suspect, still of the footnotes. I’m presuming that the footnotes are somewhat slowing down the software, and when they are spanned, it’s even more visible.
Can anyone replicate and confirm my theory? Because if this is so, although it is a useful feature, the spanning footnotes option right now is badly implemented and interferes with the workflow.
Thank you and eagerly awaiting your input.
