I’m working with Indesign to create layout for a magazine. But I don’t know why when printing, all of the image is darker than the image on the screen. I really confused, I think I’m lack of experience in editing Image before Printing ! WHAT I NEED TO DO WITH THE IMAGES TO PRINT THE CORRECT COLOR?
You will never get the printed version to look like your monitor simply because every printer will give a different result dependent on make, ink levels, age of printer, wear and tear on printer, type or quality of paper etc. etc.
You can try adjusting the levels of the image and also tweak with the Sharpen/unsharp mask.
Pretty much a matter of trial and error to get near what you think is acceptable.
Making the colors look the same on screen and in print is called “color management.” If you can get a subscription to Lynda.com or LinkedIn Learning, you can see my video “InDesign Insider Training: Color Management.” Also, I wrote about it here: https://creativepro.com/issues/issue-85-color-management
Dong,
+1 to what David said. His video class on color management is essential if you are going to publish.
(Short answer) Adjust your images based on what is printed, not what it looks like on the screen. Always keep a copy of the original image in case you have to go back!
