I am trying to use an automatic TOC to create a list of key terms located within text of “basic paragraph”. I have added a character style to these words. This will allow me to easily record the key terms and page numbers at the end of a chapter. I understand that automatic table of contents uses paragraph styles, but if I highlight the text and add the paragraph style, the entire paragraph changes to that style.
Is there a way to create a list that automatically populates selected words from WITHIN different paragraphs and text frames?
Just shooting from the hip: Maybe set it up as an index?
Great idea Tim I did some research and that’s going to work! Thanks
