I have to build a new website for our company but having tried various platforms such as Rapidweaver and WordPress I am really struggling to find an intuitive site builder. If only I could use InDesign CC which I’m already familiar with. Any recommendations for software similar in use to InDesign please. The finished site has to be mobile friendly and Google friendly.

This may not be the appropriate place for this, apologies if this is the case.

      Hi Chris
Big learning curve for you, but you’ll be fine! You’re going to need a simple platform, which WordPress can provide. It sounds as though your company has a straightforward website (or they’d not put the job on your desk, I daresay)
I like Joomla too. It’s very easy to use and well-supported w templates and the like so you won’t have to learn more complex coding etc at the outset.
InDesign won’t have much to do with it. You can process your images in PS and AI.

Oh. You will need to familiarize yourself with mobile optimization and SEO. It’s really not so much about being mobile or Google friendly. Start with Joimla and read, read, read.

Thanks for all your advice, we now have a way forward: going to use X5 software. Thanks again.

You should work on your copy first. Just a tip.

Adobe Muse is software built for designers with workflow and logic borrowed from InDesign. Optimisation for search engines is easy to manage too.
