I have a document in the works and the bullets use a character from Wingdings 2. The office I work in is all on Mac’s and the same operating system. If I open the file on a different machine it will give me a warning that Wingdings 2 is not open. This happens on some of the machines but not all. When I look in Suitcase the font appears to be open. On all computers, this font is only installed in the system with no other versions. How can the same font with the same system have different system fonts? They must have a different version number or type kind (truetype, opentype, etc). Why would this happen and how do I fix this?
The problem machines had a duplicate version in the font library, delete the non-system version and the problem goes away.
